I wish it didn't take me so long to stop carrying about "other people" 's opinion.
But where are friends when you need them? Wasn't it "in good and bad, in sickness and health"? Oh, that was marriage. I've always believed friendship to be more sacred than marriage.

Don't get your expectations about marriage too high, you might get seriously disappointed.
As for the other people's opinion, I just read this and though it doesn't say anything that you don't already know, I believe you fill find it soothing that you share a common problem with the rest of humanity.

Marriage was just a reference with no feelings attached. I’ve never had any hopes or illusions about marriage. As a kid I had this notion about it-that it was inevitable, a part of the cycle of life kind of: you are born, you grow up, you marry-in that order. That was…let’s say it was a very long time ago.
Thanks for the link-yesterday I didn’t have time to read it but I will.
However, what I really need to thank you for it your concern, the fact that you bothered to respond. Sometimes, like now, to know someone cares at all, even if it’s just a little bit, makes all the difference.
