People amaze me. Don't rush to get excited - I didn't say they amaze me in a good way. It's their stubborn blind self-confidence that I find mind-boggling, the innate conviction that the world should welcome them with an embrace, that it owes them everything and that they have the right to claim it based on no other ground but their mere presence in this world.
